This policy explains what [ALEX REY] collects when you visit this site or send an enquiry, why it is collected, and what you can ask to have done with it.
Who this covers
This site is run by [ALEX REY], [CITY, COUNTRY]. In this policy “I” and “me” mean [ALEX REY], and “you” means anyone who visits the site or contacts me through it. For questions about anything below, write to [HELLO@ALEXREY.COM].
What you give me
The enquiry form on this site asks for your name, email address, company, project type and a message. Nothing on the form is required except a name, an email address and a message — the rest is there to save us an email. I use what you send to reply to you and to work out whether we are a fit. I do not sell it, and I do not add you to a mailing list because you filled in a contact form.
What is collected automatically
Like any website, this one is served by a host that records technical information as pages load: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you opened and roughly where in the world you were. This site is hosted and served by Framer. [IF YOU HAVE ADDED GOOGLE ANALYTICS, PLAUSIBLE, META PIXEL OR ANY OTHER TRACKING, NAME IT HERE AND SAY WHAT IT DOES — THAT IS THE PART REGULATORS ACTUALLY READ.]
Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and do not need your permission. Anything beyond that — analytics, advertising, embedded social content that tracks you — does, in the UK, the EU and a growing number of other places. If you add any of those, add a consent banner and describe each category here. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Why I am allowed to hold it
If you are in the UK or EU, the law wants a stated lawful basis. For enquiries it is legitimate interest — you contacted me and expect a reply — and, where we go on to work together, performance of a contract. For anything optional, such as analytics or marketing email, it is your consent, which you can withdraw whenever you like.
Who else sees it
A short list, and it should stay short: [FRAMER] hosts the site and delivers the form; [YOUR EMAIL PROVIDER] carries the messages; [ANY CRM, SCHEDULER, INVOICING OR ANALYTICS TOOL]. Each of them acts on my instructions. Social posts embedded on this site are loaded from the platform they live on, and that platform will know you loaded them.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted after [24 MONTHS]. Records from work we actually did are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, which in [YOUR COUNTRY] is [SIX YEARS]. Technical logs are kept for [YOUR HOST'S RETENTION PERIOD].
Where it is stored
Some of the services above run on servers outside [YOUR COUNTRY], including the United States. Where that happens, transfers rely on the safeguards those providers have in place — standard contractual clauses or an equivalent framework. Name your providers here rather than leaving this abstract.
What you can ask for
You can ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, ask me to stop using it, or ask for it in a portable format. Email [HELLO@ALEXREY.COM] and I will answer within [30 DAYS]. If you are not satisfied you can complain to your data protection regulator — in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EU it is the authority for your country.
Children
This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children under [16]. I do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent me something, write to me and I will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If the change is a significant one, I will say so on the site rather than hoping you re-read this page.
